This art trail takes the viewer on a journey into an unknown world of plants and images, in which art and nature become one. The movement between nature and recurring images entices the viewer to
expect something, to look at something, not to lose the way, to be alert and open to being amazed. The trail leads you to 17 stations on the Hellbrunn Hill. The engagement with the works invite
you to pause, to behold and to reflect.
The print run for the printed versions is 10 per motif, printed on metal or wood.
"LEAF DANCE is a symbiosis of leaves from the beech forest, an oak leaf and a dancer, encased in copper.
With the alchemy of iron and acids, it was a simple matter for the female body to join them. What a surprise!"
"Many eyes, intensive colour, one centre that gives a sense of the flower of life, that life runs its course without noticing it could be 5 TO 12?"
"Time and again, SILENCE lifts us out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to rest, to reflect: springs that react to influences like seismographs and leave us resonating with them."
"A buzzing, whirring dance in incredible order. BEES’ NEST: the golden honeycomb held by a nest of twigs and ferns. Coming home, arriving, swarming out again, going off to search."
"… and find my soul."
"Being born, acquiring knowledge, growing up, becoming older, seeking wisdom, reaching MATURITY, but it may well be that everything is contained in the embryo."
"Earth to earth. In the period between: arriving at your true self, right meets left, female meets male, and striving upwards; THE WAY sometimes within reach, sometimes far off."
"Trees show their age in ever-increasing rings. MILLEFIORI, a combination of handmade wooden discs from Nepal, glass balls from Venice: transience meets cheerful highlights."
"PROPOLIS, a relative of BEES’ NEST, shows a wreath absorbing colour, the inside protecting and poised reluctantly in the frame. Occasionally a piece might also break loose."
"Even though we constantly talk about ORDER and chaos – the eye can sense if the horizontal or vertical is out of line. The true peak, where irregularities would stand out and it is actually impossible to mix colours other than as intended. Is that not wonderful?"
"To survive we need: water – light – air - food. But actually most important is love. THIRST gives us a sense of how good we feel when our needs are met, an outstretched hand invites us to revive and refresh ourselves."
"JACOB’S LADDER, built in a multitude of stars, a play of colours and an experiment with colour, copper, iron, acid and points of light. Somehow everything intermeshes, merges and is inseparable."
"As light as a feather, you sometimes wish you could take off into a bright universe. MOON FLIGHT invites you to leave the dark side and travel light."
"Rays, light, warmth – these come not only from the sun but also in encounters with other living beings, whether human, animal or plant. How beautiful to BE MY SUN for someone!"
"INNOCENCE, independent, sublime, with a golden glow, feathers systematically strung in a row, but it actually makes absolutely no difference even if cracks and marks take away the perfection of the image."
"Having fun, smiling, laughing, not taking yourself too seriously, capturing colour right to the tips of your fingers: that is the quality known as a COLOURFUL PLUMAGE."
"BE THE MOON shows the mirror: what can I see in it, do I like it, am I one thing or another? The moon moves ebb and flow, moves us, and shows us that the only constant is movement."
